Sometimes life sucks but coffee doesn’t have to. Start your day with an amazing cup of coffee and even your worst day will suck less
I never understood why people drank coffee every morning. It tasted like someone brewed charcoal in water. Until one morning I showed up to work more “tired” than normal. I was an amazing, up and coming chef at the coolest Michelin recommended restaurant in Colorado, it would have been weird if I didn’t show up “tired”. I asked our bartender to add a shot of espresso to my chai. It was chai, steamed milk, espresso, and vanilla simple syrup. Did I invent the dirty chai latte in the 90s? Yes I did. It changed my view of what coffee could be. It changed the way we did coffee. When I cooked I knew where every ingredient came from so why couldn’t we say the same about our coffee. That’s why we started making all the latte sauces in house with the best ingredients. We are all too unique to follow unwritten laws of what coffee is. It’s like being a chef you only learn the way it’s done, so you can figure out how to do it in a way that’s never been done.
Each coffee bean has a long story from the moment it’s planted till we take that first sip of coffee in the morning. I want to highlight the coffee farmers to accentuate the humanity over the commodity. Farm to cup is essential. Not only for the highest quality coffee, but also the wellbeing of the farmers that grow it. I want to know who grew my coffee beans, and the other ingredients I use as well. I’m starting to realize relationships are the most important thing in life. Without them everything is transactional. Every coffee is a thousand stories waiting to be told and I want to tell them in a respectful way but also in my own voice. I have built a coffee company based on the love I have for food, the environment, and most of all people. I built the only mobile coffee company that is zero emissions, close to zero waste, and powered by solar giving me the ability to roast for individual and wholesale customers wherever I am. Plus the nitro lattes are made with the best organic ingredients because it’s what I think people deserve. I think in life and in business we all want to do better. If everything we do is out of love, true to ourself, based on our ethics, and focused on relationships it can’t get any better than that.
